Chariots and horses

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7

I look around at the political landscape and see a lot of chariots and horses, they represent worldly power, security and strength. Chariots and horses can be nice! No use walking when you can ride, right? Better to have a chariots view when you can.

But you can’t depend on chariots and horses. Even in regard to earthly strength, they wear out, break down, prove undependable.

And the reality is we don’t just need horizontal help, we need Heavenly help. The security and fulfillment that our soul longs for won’t be found in politicians, comforts, or the allusion of control. We need a God who’s in control. A King who never loses His Throne. One we can TRUST whether we are exiled in Babylon or established in Jerusalem.

We have the King we need in King Jesus. We don’t need a Saul. For those who trust in the Lord – Our eternal security is set. Our mission is still clear. We’re called loved and kept. Life to the fullest is ours because HE gives it. Nothing and no one can change that, and nothing and no one can add to that.

We trust in the name of the LORD, our God.

Y’all keep lookin up!
