Father in Heaven, our Creator and our redeemer, the week ahead of us is yours. We can’t do anything of value without you. Please don’t let us think that because we woke up healthy, have experienced some success, or have grown accustomed to so much comfort, that we can do anything apart from you. Our kids, our homes, our jobs, our life — It’s all from you and it’s all for you. You are the Giver of all good things. Help us see your gifts for what they, opportunities to be good stewards for your glory, not ours.
Keep us close, Lord. Deepen our dependance. Keep us in step with you. Make us more like you. Give us minds and hearts for eternal things and not be overwhelmed by the here and now.
Lord, we remember our loved ones and neighbors who are hurting. Some with hurt so deep they can’t even tell us. But you know, Jesus. We ask that your Spirit be uniquely near to the brokenhearted. Thank you for caring. Help us to see needs and care like you do.
We love you, Lord. This week is yours. We are thankful. Help us walk faithfully. In Jesus name, amen.
